An interview with Lucy Huxley
Lucy Huxley is a Berlin-based independent escort and a Canadian expat who has called the city home for almost ten years.
Her journey to this point has been anything but traditional. She first moved to Berlin as a professional ballet dancer, but since then she's lived a few different lives: working as a model, porn performer, photographer, performance artist, and even spending some time in corporate offices.
We asked Lucy a few questions about her perspective on pleasure and what makes an encounter successful.
What do most men get wrong about pleasing women?
"A lot of men who feel pressure to perform well end up trying to make sex a performance. They think that if they just do a certain combination of acts in the right way, that that will please the woman they’re with. Unfortunately for them, sex is not a performance, and there is no script that can make a woman happy. The key to pleasing a woman is to be able to be completely in the moment with her. Be present in your own body, and notice how her body responds to what you do. Take your time. Listen to what she says, and listen to the way her body reacts."
What position do women actually enjoy more than men realise?
"Everyone is different, but missionary and doggy are classics for a reason. There’s no need to try a “unique” position to impress a girl - most of really enjoy the “normal” ones."
What is one thing men should stop doing in bed?
"Stop assuming what the person you’re with is going to like. Everyone has different preferences! Talking to your partner and understanding what they like in that moment is always going to lead to a better experience than doing something just because you think it’s going to turn them on."
What are your biggest turn-ons / icks when it comes to clients?
"My biggest ick is poor hygiene - it’s impossible for me to get in the mood if your breath doesn’t smell good.
My biggest turn-on is when a client is communicative about what he wants before we get down and dirty, and then is vocal about how it makes him feel once we’re in it. If I’m focusing on giving you pleasure and you’re absolutely silent, I have no idea if you’re enjoying what I’m doing. If you’re moaning, telling me how it feels, or even telling me something you’d like different - that really gets me going. It turns me on to know that I’m doing a good job and that my client is feeling a lot of pleasure!"
What is the most unusual request you’ve ever had from a client?
"A client once asked me if I could be delivered to his house in a box, where he would then “unwrap” me and I would pretend to be a sex robot. I said no to that one - I don’t have any interest in roleplaying as a non-human!"
