What Would Your Favorite Celebrity Earn on OnlyFans?
Taylor Swift: $294 million a year.
Barack Obama: $76 million a year.
Kim Jong-un: $314,000 a year.
We analysed 133 of the world’s biggest celebrities to answer the question everyone’s thinking but no one’s asking: what would they actually earn on OnlyFans?
The Findings
The numbers that emerged from our analysis reveal the hidden economics of fame in the digital age. Taylor Swift leads the pack with a staggering $294.4 million in potential annual earnings, boosted by her 1.5x “Wow Factor” multiplier that accounts for the shock value of her hypothetical platform participation.
But perhaps more surprising is the performance of political figures. Barack Obama ranks 19th overall with $76.2 million in potential annual earnings, demonstrating how political celebrity combined with shock value can translate into massive earning potential.
The study reveals a fascinating hierarchy of earning potential. Selena Gomez follows Swift at $240.4 million, driven purely by her massive social media dominance across platforms. Kylie Jenner rounds out the top three at $209.3 million, showcasing how Instagram influence translates directly to subscription potential. Ariana Grande and MrBeast complete the top five, with the YouTube giant’s $175.6 million projection proving that platform-specific dominance can translate across the creator economy.
Political figures consistently punch above their weight throughout the rankings. Kamala Harris could potentially earn $35.2 million annually, while Joe Biden and Donald Trump could generate $25.5 million and $19.8 million respectively. These figures demonstrate how political shock value can overcome relatively modest social media followings compared to entertainment celebrities.

The “Wow Factor” Coefficient
Our breakthrough methodology introduces the first-ever quantification of shock value in celebrity earnings potential. The “Wow Factor Multiplier” ranges from 1.0x for standard celebrities to 5.0x for maximum shock value, fundamentally changing how we understand celebrity monetisation potential.
The system reveals fascinating insights about the nature of fame and attention. Kim Jong-un receives the maximum 5.0x shock multiplier but earns only $314,000 annually, creating what we call “The Kim Jong-un Paradox.” This demonstrates that even ultimate shock value cannot overcome the absence of audience reach, as the North Korean leader has virtually no social media presence to convert and the income multiplier for his (potential) North Korean audience is small.
At the other end of the spectrum, King Charles receives a 4.0x multiplier and could earn $6.5 million annually, showing how royal participation would generate massive global headlines and curiosity-driven subscriptions. The political category consistently outperforms expectations by leveraging the shock value of unexpected platform participation.
The Science Behind the Calculations
Our methodology combines traditional social media metrics with innovative approaches to measuring cultural impact and shock value. The algorithm weights social media followers at 60% and monthly Google search volume at 40%, recognising that name recognition extends far beyond social media bubbles.
The social media component uses a conservative 1% conversion rate, drawing from industry research that consistently shows healthy OnlyFans conversion rates between 1% and 3%. This rate accounts for the reality that only a small percentage of followers convert to paying subscribers, even for the most successful creators.
The Google search component uses a 0.5% conversion rate, reflecting the different nature of search-driven interest. While search volume indicates broader cultural awareness, it represents a more diffuse audience with potentially lower conversion rates but higher intent when they do convert.
The demographic multipliers add crucial nuance to the calculations. Age multipliers range from 1.0x for the 18-25 demographic down to 0.5x for celebrities over 46, reflecting platform demographics and audience preferences. Gender multipliers account for documented industry earnings gaps, with male creators typically earning 35% less than their female counterparts.
Regional multipliers recognise global variations in purchasing power and platform adoption, with US celebrities receiving the baseline 1.0x multiplier, European celebrities receiving 0.7x, and other regions receiving 0.5x.
The study reveals that politicians represent massively undervalued digital assets in the creator economy. Barack Obama’s $76.2 million potential demonstrates how political celebrity, when combined with shock value, can generate earning potential that rivals or exceeds traditional entertainment celebrities. This finding has profound implications for how we understand the monetization potential of political fame.
The age factor proves less determinative than expected when shock value enters the equation. Angela Merkel, at 71, could still earn $1.0 million annually thanks to her 3.0x political wow factor multiplier. This challenges conventional wisdom about age barriers in digital content creation and suggests that shock value can overcome demographic disadvantages.
The research also reveals the limitations of social media metrics alone. The 60/40 split between social media and search volume demonstrates that cultural impact extends beyond follower counts. Celebrities with massive Google search volumes but modest social media presence can still generate significant earning potential through name recognition and cultural relevance.
Perhaps most surprisingly, the study shows how controversy and unexpected behavior can be quantified and monetised. The Wow Factor system provides the first framework for understanding how shock value translates to economic value, offering insights that extend far beyond the creator economy into celebrity valuation, brand partnerships, and media strategy.
Why This Study Matters
For the creator economy, this research provides the first comprehensive framework for understanding how different types of celebrity translate to earning potential. The quantification of shock value offers a new lens for evaluating celebrity partnerships and platform strategies.
Political consultants and campaign strategists can use these insights to understand the monetary value of political celebrity beyond traditional fundraising and endorsement opportunities. The study reveals how political figures could theoretically monetize their fame through unconventional channels, providing a new perspective on the value of political celebrity.
Celebrity management teams now have a data-driven framework for evaluating unconventional revenue streams and understanding how shock value can be leveraged as a quantifiable asset. The methodology provides tools for risk-reward analysis of platform diversification strategies.
Platform executives can use the research to identify high-value celebrity acquisition targets and understand the premium value of controversial or unexpected figures. The study quantifies the business case for pursuing celebrities who might generate significant media attention and user acquisition.
Context and Limitations
This study provides data-driven insights into celebrity earning potential using industry-validated conversion rates and comprehensive social media data. The Wow Factor system represents the first attempt to quantify shock value in monetary terms, offering a new framework for understanding celebrity valuation.
However, these calculations are hypothetical and for analytical purposes only. Actual results would depend heavily on content quality, posting frequency, audience engagement, and countless other factors that cannot be quantified in advance.
The research serves as an analytical tool for understanding how different types of fame and cultural impact translate to potential earning power in the creator economy. It offers insights into the hidden economics of celebrity and the untapped value of shock value in digital content creation.
